STUDENT SERVICES
Extensive Orientation Program
During orientation you will be provided with information regarding the following: student support services, legal services, emergency and health services, complaints and appeals processes and assistance regarding any student visa conditions relating to course progress and/or attendance as appropriate. Orientation will also provide you with the opportunity to look around your campus, meet staff and mingle with your future classmates.
Social Experience
A number of fun and interesting social events will also be held throughout the school year. These upcoming events will be advertised on the student intranet, the website and in the campus common room. Many of these events will be family inclusive so we encourage family members and children of students to attend on these occasions.
Services for Under 18 students
Student Services staff will arrange to meet with you on a regular basis to ensure that you are managing well in your new environment with respect to accommodation, finances, friendships, health, studies and contact with your family on a regular basis. We are aware of the additional challenges faced by younger students and will be available to listen and provide guidance. We take our responsibility to minors very seriously.
Individual Tuition Service
We provide individual tutors in a variety of course areas who can assist you if you require extra help in a unit of study where you feel particularly challenged.
Academic Counsellors/Study skills support
You and your family are highly valued customers and we constantly seek better ways to serve and assist you to achieve your best. Our academic counsellors/study skills staff will closely monitor your academic performance and assist with any issues related to your learning, managing your time and workload and/or coping with performance anxiety.
