The Graduate Certificate in Accounting has been designed to provide an opportunity for graduates who have majored in a discipline other than accounting and who are now seeking an accounting qualification.
This Graduate Certificate articulates into the Master of Accounting Studies course.
The Graduate Certificate consists of four core units which are typically the foundation units of all business Degrees. These units cover accounting, information systems, economics and quantitative analysis required in business.
This course is designed to give students a solid spring board from which to progress to the full Master of Accounting courses. The Graduate Certificate gives students a taste of what is to come in the Master's courses and as such, is an excellent way of commencing their postgraduate accounting course. Once students have completed the Graduate Certificate they can either leave with a parchment testifying to their completion of the Certificate or continue their studies to complete the Master's course. Most students use the Graduate Certificate as a pathway into the full Master's course so that they can progress to becoming a CPA or CA.
Students will benefit from the knowledge and experience of the teaching staff that Kaplan Business School employs.
